CAIRO, February 26 (Aswat Masriya) - A man was killed and seven others were injured in explosions which occurred in Greater Cairo early Thursday, reported state television citing the Health Ministry.
An explosion outside a fast food restaurant in the neighbourhood of Imbaba killed one of the restaurant's employees and injured two others, said the Interior Ministry.
Another explosion occurred in the neighbourhood of Warraq, causing injuries, state television reported, citing the Health Ministry.
Three explosions were also heard in the Mohandeseen neighbourhood in Giza, leaving no injuries, according to the Interior Ministry.
Two improvised explosive devices went off at a bus station in the governorate of Daqahliyah on Thursday, leaving no casualties, reported state news agency MENA. Security forces dismantled a third explosive device in the station.
Bombings and shootings, especially targeting security forces, have surged since the military ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in July 2013, following mass protests against his rule.
