CAIRO, Nov 30 (Aswat Masriya) Police forces fired teargas to disperse a protest by Abdeen Court in downtown on Saturday.
The protesters had gathered to show solidarity for April 6 founder Ahmed Maher as he handed himself in to the authorities.
Egypt's prosecutor-general had ordered that Maher, Alaa Abdel Fattah and others be arrested and detained for four days for calling for a protest without permission from the authorities.
A law passed recently compels Egyptian protesters to obtain permission from the police three days prior to their demonstration.
