CAIRO, Oct 16 (Aswat Masriya) - The United States is going to deliver Apache helicopters to Egypt on Thursday, the state-owned news agency MENA reported U.S. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki as saying.
"Egypt is an important country within the context of international efforts to fight the Islamic State 'Daash'," Psaki said.
The United States has announced that it will supply Egypt with these military aircrafts after it concluded a deal with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi during his visit to the U.S last month.
The U.S. has sought forming a coalition of Arab countries to counter the organisation of the Islamic State "Daash". President Barack Obama ordered air strikes to stop the Islamic State in Iraq from advancing. He called upon other Gulf countries to consider military intervention as well.
