Former Prime Minister, Ahmed Shafiq, insisted that he will not withdraw from the presidential race under any circumstances.

“I will compete until the end in an attempt to gain the support of the people, regardless of any circumstances including who decides to join the race, with all due respect to other candidates”, said Shafiq as reported by the Middle East News Agency.

Shafiq denied allegations that he may withdraw from the race if former Intelligence Chief, Omar Suleiman, decided to nominate himself .
