KUWAIT, April 8 (Reuters) - Kuwait's state oil group has signed contracts to supply Egypt with 85,000 barrels of crude oil per day and 1.5 million tonnes of diesel and jet fuel per year, state news agency KUNA reported on Tuesday.

The contracts, signed on Monday, are valid until the end of 2016 and based on global market prices, a Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) official, Nasser al-Mudaf, told KUNA.

He added that KPC was willing to sign additional contracts with Egypt to supply cooking gas and fuel oil within the next two months. (Reporting by Sylvia Westall; editing by Jason Neely)
